Welcome to skincare that actually knows why it works

“I am Annie — a licensed esthetician who works the way a researcher does: mechanism-first, evidence-led, and honest about what the science does and doesn’t yet show. I am building toward what I call a Dermaceutical Architect.”

That last term needs a sentence — and an honest one, because I’m still growing into it. “Dermaceutical Architect” is what I’m working toward: an esthetician who designs skin-care protocols with real attention to the molecular level, where chemistry, skin biology, and hands-on esthetic practice meet. In practice, it means I try to choose products and build protocols I can actually explain to you — what a thing is doing at the surface of your skin, why I chose it, and what the evidence suggests about how long it takes to help. I won’t always have a perfect answer, but I’ll always tell you what I know, what I don’t, and where something belongs with a physician instead of me. That honesty is the part I care about most.

My focus is menopausal skin. For the post-menopausal woman, that often means skin that has become thin, lipid-depleted, sensitive, and barrier-compromised — depleted, but fairly stable. For the peri-menopausal woman, it means skin that changes like the weather: suddenly reactive, prone to breakouts, struggling to hold water, showing fine lines that seem to deepen, looking rougher or duller than it used to, sometimes carrying pigment you didn’t ask for — and generally not responding the way it once did. If any of that sounds like your skin, it’s the kind of skin I’ve built my practice around understanding.

I am not the right esthetician for everyone. I am the right esthetician for the post or peri menopausal woman who is tired of being treated as if she is ‘just old’ and wants to understand what is happening to her skin and to have it cared for by someone who works to restore the barrier, not just soothe the surface.”
If that is you — you are in exactly the right place.

Book, call, or drop in for a consultation.
A skincare consultation is always available. Come in, tell me what your skin is doing, and I’ll walk you through what I’m seeing at the surface — the barrier, the hydration, the signs of change — and what I’d do about it within my scope, in language that actually explains the science. If something belongs with a physician, I’ll tell you that too.

Let’s have that conversation. What you do with it is up to you.
